GMI’s Active-8 ensures safety in your boiler house

GMI’s Active-8 fixed gas detection system can be easily upgraded to include a carbon monoxide (CO) sensor to ensure protection of your personnel whilst working in a boiler house.

Carbon Monoxide is an odourless, colourless and tasteless toxic gas, undetectable by human senses.  The build-up of carbon monoxide in your boiler house will therefore create a potentially hazardous environment, this is not only a safety concern but also an indication that your boiler is not running efficiently.

The Active-8 system can be used as a tool to identify that your boiler requires corrective maintenance, to ensure maximum efficiency and protection.

The Active-8 is an easy to use gas detection system which can house up to eight gas modules.  Flammable gases include methane, butane, pentane, propane and hydrogen and toxic gases carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide and oxygen.  Audible and visual alarm levels are programmable to give early warning of danger.  Features include up to 16 programmable relay outputs for customised alarm zoning and volt free outputs to drive external devices for both faults and alarms.
